Masai Mara Game reserve is one of the most visited and famous tourist destinations in Kenya offering travelers a chance to view wildlife including the big 5 and the 8th wonder of the world in July and august as the wildebeests migrate from Serengeti in Tanzania, crossing the mara river into Masai mara.

One of the best leading group joining tours to Masai mara is to Oloolaimutia gate targeting clients staying at TOP 10 BUDGET TENTED CAMP ACCOMMODATION IN MASAI MARA.

Transport Options

Masai Mara being a remote location with rugged terrain, a 4x4 safari Landcruiser is preferred. However, there is the option to use the safari vans (some are 4x4) which are slightly less expensive. When using safari Vans, there are areas and crossing points you may not be able to access especially during the rainy season. Safari Landcruiser is stronger and can access virtually every spot.

Where is the pick up and drop off point?

The pick up location is Nairobi CBD along Moi avenue near Jeevanjee gardens. Our safari guides and office assistants will meet you here. We can also make special arrangement to pick you up from your hotel of stay or along the way.

Are all meals included?

Accommodation and all meals are included on full board: meaning, the first day you will have lunch, and dinner. The second day you will have breakfast lunch and dinner and the third day you will only have breakfast. Lunch on the third day can be organized at own cost on your way back or you can buy a snack along the way.

How many Travelers Join in one vehicle?

Wether using safari van or landcruiser, the vehicles take upto 8 persons when full. However we usually take 7 persons to provide everybody enough space and window seat for proper viewing.

How many Game drives are there in the group Joining Safari

There are 3 game drives in the group joining safari.

On the first day of travel, you will arrive at Masai mara at about 2pm in time for hot lunch in the hotel/camp. You will then rest and proceed for a game drive in the evening from 4pm – 6.30pm.

On the second day, you will enjoy a full day game drive from 8am – 4pm with picnic lunch in the savanna under a lone tree with a beautiful view or along the river.

On the third day you will enjoy a morning game drive from 6am – 9am after which you will return to the hotel / camp for breakfast and check out to drive back to Nairobi.
