Every group safari includes:
• Safari vehicle with pop-up roof (seats 6-7 passengers, everyone gets a window seat)
• Professional English-speaking driver-guide with extensive wildlife knowledge
• All fuel and vehicle costs (no hidden surcharges)
• Hotel pickup and drop-off in Nairobi
• Guaranteed departure - we NEVER cancel once you book
• Bottled water during game drives
Optional add-ons you choose during booking:
• Park entrance fees (Nairobi NP: $87/adult, Masai Mara: $100-200/adult)
• Accommodation (budget camps $90-120/night, mid-range lodges $150-250/night, luxury camps $300-600/night)
• Meals (budget camps $30-40/day, often included in lodge rates)
• Travel insurance (highly recommended)
• Tips for your guide ($10-20/day per person, at your discretion)
Absolutely! Many travelers book transport-only (Nairobi NP: $50, Masai Mara: $45/day) and arrange their own accommodation directly with lodges or camps. This gives you complete flexibility to choose where you stay and control your budget. Just let us know during booking that you want transport only.
NB: It is well advised that you book accommodation near the Oloolaimutia gate to accommodate the flexibility of other travellers
Key differences:
• Shared vehicle - you travel with 5-6 other travelers (everyone still gets a window seat)
• Fixed itinerary - the route and timing are pre-set to maximize wildlife viewing
• Scheduled departures - choose from our set dates rather than any date you want
• Social experience - meet fellow travelers from around the world. Many guests enjoy this aspect, and lifelong friendships have formed on our safaris!
Not in the base price. For day trips, we can arrange lunch at designated picnic sites or restaurants (typically $15-25 per person), or you can bring your own packed lunch. For multi-day safaris, meals are usually part of your accommodation package or available as an add-on.
